DashTrak™ Windows® 98 SE Driver Installation

In order to use Windows 98 SE (second edition) to access your DashTrak™ Wellness Subscription and upload your walking data, you will need to install the DashTrak Windows 98 SE USB driver.  Follow the steps below to download and install this driver.

NOTE:  We recommend that you read through the following steps before beginning and print this page for reference during the installation process.  If you need further assistance or have any questions, please contact our customer support department.

  1. Click here to run the installation package.  When prompted to open or save, click Open.

  2. The WinZip Self-Extractor will launch as shown in the figure below.

  3. Click Unzip .  The driver files are copied to c:\walkstyles.

Click OK on the popup message, and click Close on the Self-Extractor program window.

  4. Next, attach the DashTrak USB cable to your PC.  DO NOT connect the cable to your DashTrak yet.

  5. On the DashTrak, press the Menu button once to bring your DashTrak to the SAFE TO CONNECT screen:

  6. Now plug the other end of the USB cable into the DashTrak.

  7. Your PC will detect the device and launch the Add New Hardware Wizard. Click Next.

  8. Select the "Search for the best driver for your device" option, and then click Next.

  9. To locate the driver, check the "Specify a location" option and uncheck any other checked options.  Enter "C:\WalkStyles" into the text box.  Then click Next.

  10. Windows will find the driver in the specified location and prepare for installation.  Click Next.

  11. Windows completes the driver installation.  Click Finish.

  12. Two additional popup windows may appear briefly as the installation completes.

  13. Your DashTrak driver is now installed and your DashTrak is ready for use.

  14. Return to the DashTrak Connection Guide and resume setting up your DashTrak and subscription.
